Where I Was
Just a quickie here: I had a real forehead slapper moment just a few minutes ago talking to my friend and co-worker, Lezel. I was following up on my tip to look at “After the Flood ” by Bill Cooper. (Do check it out as it is available online.)
So she said she hadn’t and one of the reasons was because she had another book in the cue and told me a little about it. . . . . . and I don’t know what it was called because it hit me as she was talking about taxation without representation and kids that our current situation is exactly that.
What am I talking about? Well think about it. This whole wonderful experiment in freedom began on the pretext, founded in the Magna Carta , that there should be no taxation without representation. Our freedoms are established on natural law that flows from our Creator, but before the Magna Carta the view was that the divine right of kings trumped the rights of mere mortals.
No Taxation Without Representation
So here we are in a new century arguing about how we’ve rejected our founding, at least that’s what the Tea Party People are going on about. They are sick of an over-reaching government, they want it reined in, they are concerned about the National Debt , at this posting about $43,638 per citizen.
It is right that we are. Let me point out that Rights have everything to do with it too. Our nation, which has wonderfully propounded the rights of the individual for so long, is currently violating some of the most fundamental and foundational rights of all. In particular, of course, I’m referring to “No Taxation Without Representation,” the rallying cry of the founding and a current travesty being perpetrated on our children.
The debt we are loading on future generations IS immoral, not only in the most absolute sense of what God thinks (see number eight) of stealing someone else’s money, but also in the social contract sense of having a document and a set of values laid out in a Constitution that we are violating at the expense of children without franchise. They have no vote, but they will pay this debt or they will be buried by it.
On the one-hand, Liberal Dems are willing to spend money for political payoffs to their constituencies (ACORN ) AND loot the public coffers to feather their own nests and those of their supporters, foreign and domestic, whereas on the other, Republican Neo-Conservatives are busily war profiteering on the backs of our service men and women, and, in contrast to their stated values, spent money faster than any other regime in history, this last one excepted. Disgusting
What has been lost in the conversation to this point is that what we are doing to kids is a direct violation of the values of our founding, that we are selling them into slavery, that they have no voice though they are going to be left with the debt that their taxes can not possibly pay. So to quote a founding document, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it . . .”
That’s where it started, long ago, but today we are spending ourselves and though they can’t even protest it, our children, into financial ruin. Umm, currently they owe $43,641. The Debt Clock

It’s Not The End Of The World

No, the world won’t end if the unique form of government designed by the founders of the United States is destroyed, but it will be a much worse place, lacking hope. Many, even most, may think I exaggerate for effect. However, I don’t think it is an exaggeration, first, to say that our constitutional republic, founded on the rights of the individual and strict limits on government, has made the United States unique in its individual freedom and generous in its dealings with the world, and second, that our uniqueness hangs by a thread.
I was listening to a radio show that presented a survey of college students in prestigious universities as freshman and as seniors and discovered that the seniors knew less about our system of government than the freshman. In fact it isn’t general knowledge that we do not live under the rule of a Democracy but rather we are citizens of a constitutional republic, or did. In the words of Ben Franklin when asked about what sort of government they’d crafted, Ben said, “A Republic Madam, if you can keep it.”
Far worse than oversight, our educational system is in the process of eradicating the knowledge of our origins and indoctrinating our children, at every level, into a socialist, materialist, Marxist system that has nothing unique to offer, certainly nothing good for humanity.
Power has been and continues to be concentrated in the hands of a few, along with wealth. Socialist warriors, who rail against the rich, are the foot soldiers of a bureaucratic class that agitates for ever bigger government as it favors ever larger companies replacing cronyism for capitalism. Recently the pretext Capitalism has been shed as the current regime simply nationalizes one industry after another and shows no signs of stopping.
Kiss your child. You may be looking at the last generation born free. The debt accrued by our over-reaching and wildly unconstitutional government is mind bending. For all you who babble about sustainability have a look at our country’s finances.
We are insolvent, our borders are porous, we are bailing out the EU while they have been trying to destroy us financially. Are we mad?
I think of the many things we are, the most pressing is that we are and have been misinformed. I do not believe that the current regime is legitimate, who would have voted for blue dog dems who vote in lock step with a Marxist/Leninist like Nancy Pelosi? They are not in anyway what they represented themselves as being to get elected in conservative districts and their vote for a radical leftist for Speaker of the House is clear proof of that, their later betrayal of their oath to protect the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic only confirms what that vote reveals.
Our president, who presented himself as being some kind of Constitutional scholar, has not stopped (teleprompted speeches to the contrary or not) his attacks on the Constitution from his first 100 days. It may be that he is not even qualified to be president according to that document which may explain why he holds it in such contempt.
It may be that he holds you in contempt as well, he presented himself as a moderate uniter and left you to imagine what that might be. He let you Hope and imagine in your own mind the Change you wanted to see. Instead he has not stopped removing your freedom and selling you into national debt with deficit spending that is unsustainable on the order of months not years. Let’s face it, he does hold you in contempt.
Well there, if the United States of America ceases to be, if we implode into a wasteland of warring barbarians picking through the bones of a once great society or live (if you can call it that), exist rather, as slaves of Imperial China it won’t be the end of the world.
Our government has run off our constitutional rails long back, and there is only a very short time until it can not again be put right. Become informed, organize, and by all means vote. You owe it to your children to get this vote right.
In the words of Franklin, “We have a Republic IF we can keep it.”

What’s to be done with the weather?

Dear Readers,
I’ve only got a couple of minutes, but let me just say, something needs to be done about climate fraud. Before the EPA and the Obama administration takes one more step down the “Ban All Breathing”, suicidal, Eco-Marxist inspired, (de)Cap (itate) and Trade (away our future), maybe we need to get a grip and look at facts instead of the fabrications of Climate Gate “Scientists”.
I admit, I was wrong when I said that there is no man caused global warming. It appears now that a few scientists have created it out of whole cloth and foisted it on us. Yep, they created it with data manipulation, erasure, and an inbred “peer-review” system that had lots to do with rubber-stamping political allies work, but nothing at all to do with science.
The science has been shown to be swiss cheese, not settled. Still, the political wing of the “CO2 is killing us” crowd continues. Fact means nothing to politics and that is why the idiocy of Cap and Trade can proceed (really it is the only rational way that it could have been contemplated at all).
As I’ve mentioned before, the plan to knee cap our trade makes no rational sense. The less we manufacture the more China and India do, the net effect is not only negligible, in global terms, it is the inverse of what you want. Making things on the other side of the world and shipping it to America is not CO2 efficient, it isn’t efficient in any way at all. It is demonstrably and obviously stupid.
If you think you are smart because you believe in Global Warming but you can’t wrap your brain around the proceeding, you are a lost cause and should not breed. Let me reinterate that point by telling you that it is your duty, since you believe this, NOT to breed and crowd out superior organisms, humans use energy that causes CO2, also they breathe, more CO2, also, especially the vegetarians, pass gas (fart) this methane, molecule for molecule, traps hundreds of times more heat than CO2. So please, for the polar bears, enough with the cabbage and the beans.
Okay, I’ve slipped into some classic rip riffs on the stupidity that is Anthropogenic Global Warming. It’s just so stupid I can’t stand it. It is SO stupid that to anybody who really thinks about it the political nature and purpose of the thing is clear. Why CO2? Because that’s what energy produces, energy use makes us productive and free. Marxists (like BO) don’t like people mobile, free, or even productive really. They want dependant serfs.
What is remarkable, and why I bother to mention this again, is that it is being revealed that the idea of Anthropogenic Global Warming came before the science. (smirk) I mean “Science.” Why is Obama still rushing ahead with this? To save the planet? Just more evidence that it isn’t “Science” it is REALLY Marxist politics.

Uncle Bernie and Uncle Sam

Bernie Madoff, a former NASDAQ Chairman, has admitted to running the Ponzi scheme that some believe to be the largest investment fraud in Wall Street history. Uncle Bernie, who people entrusted all their retirement money to, provided massive profits to a few, but as always happens with a Ponzi scheme, past pay-outs are simply bait to draw in the suckers who end up holding the bag.
It may indeed be that Uncle Bernie committed the largest investment fraud, but it is by no means the biggest fraud. Bernie’s scheme preyed on a fairly rich and exclusive group, as a result people felt fortunate to have Uncle Bernie, former Chairman of the NASDAQ stock exchange, handle their retirement funds. People had confidence in Uncle Bernie.
Alas, Uncle Bernie handled them, but not well. I don’t know if the fraud was designed from the start or simply a matter of things getting out of control. Is Bernie a common thief or just not up to his resume? Thankfully, I wasn’t an Uncle Bernie investor and hopefully you weren’t either.
Unfortunately, I fear I am involved in Ponzi scheme. Unlike Madoff’s victims, this fraud isn’t going to limit itself to a few elites, instead I’m pretty sure it will affect everyone I know and just about everyone else. Yes, if you are reading this I expect you are caught up in it too.
A lot of people have confidence in Uncle Sam. I’m referring to the flag hatted, white bearded, personification of the United States of America, land of the free and home of the brave. But what I’m really talking about is our constitutional government. (or formerly so)
You see people who don’t have time to pay attention have pretty much trusted Uncle Sam (our government) to look out for us, for our children, look out for all our best interests. We invest heavily in Uncle Sam. Unlike Uncle Bernie you don’t really have a choice with Uncle Sam, Pay up or go to jail. I think because we can’t really do anything about it we cross our fingers and hope that our forced investment will pay dividends.
I hate to say it, but I feel like I’ve fallen for the Nigerian Email scam. No, it’s worse than that. I feel like my stock broker fell for it and is telling me how great a deal he got for me. I know he just got taken, I know about the fraud that he fell for, but it is my money he lost. Or was.
So Uncle Sam is supposed to be looking out for my best interest. I think defending our borders is something Sam should do. Instead we entice illegals with jobs giving benefits to other illegals. (Yes, if you are wondering if I meant to say what I said, I did. Let me say it again: I think our governments, Federal, State, and Local, are hiring illegal aliens to administer welfare programs to non-English speakers and that fraud is not just incidental but is central, pervasive, and massive in these programs.)
By funding ACORN it is clear that our federal government engages in vote fraud. That Chris Dodd and Barney Franke aren’t in prison suggests that Sam, in our name, is okay with mortgage fraud.
We have spent Trillions of dollars building government, trouble is the maintenance cost of government is what kills.

Clearly more on this is coming. I’m just exhausted by the idea that we are going to impose more taxation and control through Cap and Trade and the Government health care plan that nobody wants.

What’s Boiling in the Melting Pot
I’ve been stewing a couple of days now and it is my current excuse for not writing. I started two posts and they languish as drafts because I wasn’t getting to my point fast enough.
So here it is: Unlike Gen. Casey I do not believe that diversity, in and of itself, is a valuable goal. Despite being informed over and over that it is our diversity that makes us strong in mandated training instigated by the same government that gave us Gen. Casey I do not believe it. It is idiocy as a goal and as a belief.
Everyone knows that it is unity that brings strength, even in yearly mandated brain-washing sessions it is clear that the trainers desperately want us to be unified in our belief that diversity is desirable or even the key to our success. It is not.
Diversity is an irritant. Diversity of opinion causes confusion and disagreement. Diversity of purpose leads to failure. And diversity in our military, as the primary goal of the U.S. Army, led directly to the deaths of 19 and the wounding of 30 more. How many who were not so catastrophically injured as the wounded and dead were terrorized by this act or disillusioned or damaged by this man as he pursued Jihad instead of his sworn duty as a U.S. soldier?

Diversity is our condition in the United States of America. It is a reality that has advantages and provides opportunities IF IF IF IF IF we are united. From many one or if I may, OUT OF OUR DIVERSITY UNITY. But friends, country-men, we have been deceived into believing that diversity for diversities own sake is good. Think a moment. It is not.
On the Statue of Liberty there is an inscription that includes the words, “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breath free. . .” There are a lot of huddled masses in the world. Fact: we can’t take them all. So which ones? . . . yearning to breath free!
Now, I don’t believe this inscription is law, but accidentally, perhaps without intention, it speaks the truth. The United States grew strong as people from all over the world came here to pursue freedom.
THAT is what United us.
We are stuck now on the huddled masses, some want a free hand out, not freedom. We don’t want any-one’s feelings hurt instead of insisting on freedom of speech. We let people come here and live here illegally, we let people live in their diverse communities within our borders and not assimilate. We let people come here who don’t want to be here and want to recreate their home-land here. Give us your poor LONGING TO BREATH FREE. Give us your down trodden LONGING TO BREATH FREE. Give us your huddled masses and have them melt into our country not bring their diversity and not share our central ideal of freedom. Come here if you want to BREATH FREE.
Frankly, if you don’t want that you really need to leave. There is only one place like the United States of America. Only one place that was founded on this idea of freedom. There is no place left on Earth where you can go if you are Longing to Breath Free and we loose America.
So someone so highly placed as Gen. Casey yammering on about how a worse tragedy than 19 dead would be to loose our diversity just makes me want to puke. This on the end of contemplating putting people in prison who don’t or can’t buy government approved insurance, on the end of taxation consuming half our work lives, added to more taxation and more government control of our freedom of movement masquerading as Capt. Planet.
I just want to vomit. . .
No, you know what it is?
